Dakota Sumpter is a photojournalist located in East Alabama, though he has lived from New England to Texas. During his time with Auburn Athletics, he has accompanied teams to the 2016 Women’s College World Series, the 2017 Sugar Bowl and the 2017 Track and Field National Championship in Eugene, Oregon. In addition, Sumpter’s photographs have been used by ESPN, Vice Sports and many other local and regional news outlets across the Southeast. Currently a senior in fine art at Auburn University, his landscape photographs of Tuskegee National Forest have been featured by Ain’t Bad, Lenscratch, and Southern Glossary. During his free time he enjoys painting, trail running and relaxing with his beagle Lee. He's available for local projects and potential employment opportunities.
